Denise Delgado’s fiction and essays have appeared in Inch, Dossier, Hinchas de Poesía, Jai-Alai Magazine, the anthology Florida Flash, the artist’s monograph Frances Trombly: Paintings, and Fiction Writers Review, among others. She works with GrubStreet as Neighborhood Program Fellow and instructor and teaches literature at Emerson College. For her ongoing project in Boston’s Egleston Square, Bodega Signs + Wonders, which transforms community stories into poetry, business signage, and public art, she received a New England Foundation for the Arts Creative City Grant. She was a Fellow of the Honors College of Florida International University and Writer-in-Residence for Girls’ Club, a South Florida exhibition space and private foundation dedicated to women in contemporary art. The recipient of grants from Alternate ROOTS/The Ford Foundation, Tigertail Productions, and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, Delgado has an MFA in fiction writing from Warren Wilson College and an MA in Media Studies from The New School.
