Gabrielle Lucille Fuentes is the author of The Sleeping World (Touchstone, 2016). She has received fellowships from Yaddo, the Millay Colony, Willapa Bay AiR, and the Blue Mountain Center. Her work has appeared in One Story, Cosmonauts Avenue, Slice, Pank, and elsewhere. Her story "The Elephant's Foot" was a Distinguished Story in Best American Short Stories 2016. She is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Maryland.
